 In my opinion  a blog about beautiful art would not be complete without a tribute to the late Pino D'angelico (also known by Pino Daeni), so a post about Pino seems like a good place to start.

Pino was a true master artist. His paintings of women and children are beautiful and luminous and show his appreciation for mothers that he gained from being raised by women alone during the war. His sensual paintings of women are wonderful as well, and his paintings of men show a lot of character.

Pino passed away much too soon, but he left behind a wonderful legacy of beauty and art that will go on and bring his vision to admirers and collectors for many years to come.

Earlier in his career, Pino created book cover artwork for large publishing houses. Pino's fine art paintings are some of my favorite works of art. The painting is exquisite, but I think they also really show the beauty in people and the love between mothers and children very well.
